Greetings, Jayhawks!

With just a few weeks remaining in the fall semester on Mount Oread, students are eager for their holiday breaks to begin. This time of year also elicits excitement for a new season of KU basketball. But the men's and women's squads aren't the only teams on the Hill to carry a national ranking. The KU debate team is third in the nation heading into its last tournament of the semester.

Also in this issue of KU Connection, you'll read about three monarch caterpillars from the Monarch Watch that have headed into space on the shuttle Atlantis. Now docked with the International Space Station, the trio is the first of its kind in space.

As the holiday season nears, we'd like to thank you for your support as we work to strengthen KU. Please join the KU Alumni Association or renew your membership today.

Warmest wishes from the Hill,
KU Alumni Association
