New chancellor to speak at convocation

Interim Chancellor Barbara Atkinson has issued a special invitation to students, faculty, staff, alumni and the public to attend the 144th Opening Convocation of the University of Kansas. This will be Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little’s first formal address to the community.

Convocation will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Lied Center in Lawrence. If you’re not able to attend, the program also will be streamed live online at http://merlin.cc.ku.edu:8080/ramgen/broadcast/openingconvocation.rm.

You will need to have the free RealPlayer application on your computer in order to view the presentation, visit www.real.com to download it. A high-speed Internet connection is recommended for viewing the event.
