Greetings, Jayhawks!

Thousands of new Jayhawks are descending upon Mount Oread, ready to settle into their nests and start a new school year. Hawk Week is KU's official welcome week, highlighted by Traditions Night where freshmen are indoctrinated in all things KU.

Included among those eager newcomers will be incoming Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little, who will deliver her first formal address during the University's 144th Opening Convocation on Wednesday, Aug. 19, which you can watch live online.

Meanwhile, as summer winds down, KU football is heating up. Since their Aug. 8 opening practice, the Jayhawks have been preparing for a historic fall campaign led by senior quarterback Todd Reesing. On campus, students can gear up for games at the Adams Alumni Center during Home Football Fridays. Jayhawk fans across the nation can cheer the football team at various watch sites and tailgates listed on our online calendar.

Warmest wishes from the Hill,
KU Alumni Association
