Greetings, Jayhawks!

A beautifully blooming KU campus brings spring fever for students in their last year at the University, as they await the time-honored tradition of walking down the Hill during Commencement. Help us welcome them to alumni status—you'll find graduation gifts and event information on our Class of 2009 Web page.

As one class of Jayhawks prepares for life after KU, the University anticipates recruiting out-of-state children and grandchildren of KU graduates to campus with the help of the Jayhawk Generations Scholarship. In this issue of KU Connection, you'll also read about a stellar debate team that recently brought home its first national championship in 26 years, as well as the arrival of Bob and Elizabeth Dole in May for a Dole Lecture series event.

And in celebration of Earth Day today, check out the KU Center for Sustainability and read about the University's most recent green pursuits, including the KU Rain Garden project. We hope you enjoy these stories from Mount Oread.

Warmest wishes from the Hill,
KU Alumni Association
