Tourney action tips off, spring football starts

NCAA Tournament Central

The defending national champions have earned a No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament and will face 14-seed North Dakota State at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, in Minneapolis.

The Jayhawks—having captured their fifth straight Big 12 league title in 2009—are making their 20th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 38th appearance overall.

Should Kansas defeat North Dakota State, it would play the winner of the West Virginia-Dayton contest on Sunday at either 1:30 or 4 p.m. CDT. The winner of Sunday's game will advance to the Sweet 16 in Indianapolis.

Spring football game April 11

Jayhawks hoping to satisfy their KU football cravings can visit Spring Football Central and watch exclusive video footage, gain access to player and coaches interviews, and ask Head Coach Mark Mangino a question.

The annual Spring Game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11. Season tickets are now available and can be purchased online at kuathletics.com or by phone at 800-34-HAWKS.
