Greetings, Jayhawks!

March Madness is upon us, and while the men's basketball team faces a tough road in the NCAA Tournament, the University prepares for transition in Strong Hall. This month, we report on administrative changes at KU as Provost Richard Lariviere announces his plans to leave the Hill, and Joseph Steinmetz, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, steps in to serve as interim provost. Meanwhile, a national search is underway for the University's new Chancellor.

Along with these changes have come great achievements. KU enjoyed record spring enrollment this year, and and with the help of our Jayhawks for Higher Education advocates, several key pieces of KU's legislative agenda have advanced, including HB 2007, which will enable development of the Jayhawk Generations Tuition Plan that you read about last month. The University also hopes to make advancements in cancer research and care through a $40.1 million investment from the Kansas Bioscience Authority.

We hope you enjoy this latest news from the Hill. GO KU!

Warmest wishes from the Hill,
KU Alumni Association
