Professor's film to premiere at Sundance Film Festival
Three KU theatre and film professors will head to the Sundance Film Festival this month for the premiere of Associate Professor Kevin Willmott’s film “The Only Good Indian.”

KU finishes fall semester first in national varsity debate
The KU debate team ranked ahead of the University of California-Berkeley, Northwestern University, Emory University and the University of Oklahoma to land the top spot.

Research helps discover ‘missing link' in spider evolution
Research findings by Paul Selden, the Gulf-Hedberg Distinguished Professor of Invertebrate Paleontology in KU’s geology department, and William Shear, the Trinkle Professor of Biology at Hampden-Sydney College, have revealed an ancient missing link between today’s spiders and their extinct ancestors.

CLAS ACTS series returns with examination of immigration policies
The College is gearing up for the second half of its popular CLAS ACTS interactive presentation series. After a month break, the series resumes in February with an exploration of the effect U.S. immigration policies have on families.

Cynthia Carroll, the first female CEO of Anglo American, one of the world’s largest independent mining companies, met with business students and faculty Nov. 14.

Renowned athletes share business wisdom with students
Former professional athletes Deron Cherry, Bud Stallworth and Bobby Douglass visited with students and the public about their business pursuits during Entrepreneurship Week.

Information Fair attracts potential students
In November, representatives from student clubs and Student Advising hosted an information tent on the lawn of Summerfield Hall to greet potential business students.

Student turns fountain into art
A KU art student has turned the Chi Omega Fountain into a public art display to draw attention to the use of bottled water in the United States and on campus.

KU junior’s designs win national prizes
Quantum physics-inspired jewelry and a sculpture by a University of Kansas junior won top prizes at the Quadrennial Congress of Sigma Pi Sigma, a national physics honor society, held last month in Batavia, Ill.
