Greetings, Jayhawks!
The University welcomed its 143rd freshman class to the Hill amid continuing good news about KU's academic excellence. U.S. News & World Report has added four KU graduate programs to its national rankings—increasing KU’s number to 43 nationally ranked academic programs.
Also in this issue, we bring news of journalism student Andrew Greenhaw, who joins fellow seniors well-versed in the media of the Middle East, after spending his summer as an intern for the Washington, D.C., bureau of Al Jazeera television network.
The football team has kicked off the season successfully with a pair of non-conference wins. Visit our online guide to KU football and keep up-to-date with coach Mark Mangino’s Jayhawks as they approach Big 12 play. On campus, students can gear up for games at the Adams Alumni Center during Home Football Fridays. Jayhawk fans across the nation can cheer the football team at various watch sites and tailgates listed on our online calendar.
Warmest wishes from the Hill,
KU Alumni Association
