Greetings, Jayhawks!
Cheers echoed as this year’s graduates passed through the Campanile May 18 during KU’s 136th Commencement. In this issue, we share the memories with you, including stories about top graduates and a photo gallery of the event. Also during May, KU and the Association recognized two notable alumni who have spent their careers benefiting humanity. Eric Sundquist, c'74, and Roger Youmans, c'55, m'58, each received the Distinguished Service Citation, the highest honor granted by the University.
After a gridiron run to remember, Jayhawk fans look forward to football season, as analysts hand out honors for returning players and fans say farewell to former ’Hawks who have started their professional careers.
This summer, chapters across the country will spread the KU message by welcoming incoming freshmen and recruiting high school students to the Hill. The Association will host more than 25 Jayhawk Generations Welcome Picnics for area alumni, incoming KU students and prospective students. Visit our Jayhawk Generations Web page for more information and to find a picnic in your area. Check our online calendar for a complete listing of Jayhawk events in your area.
Warmest wishes from the Hill,
KU Alumni Association
