Greetings, Jayhawks!
As KU fans exhale after a long and successful basketball season, springtime brings a blooming campus and even more reasons to celebrate. Students in their last year at KU await the time-honored tradition of walking down the Hill during Commencement, just a few weeks away. You can find graduation gifts, events and post-grad info on our Class of 2008 Web page.
In this month's edition of KU Connection, you'll find success stories in both academics and athletics, as the University's debate team concludes the season ranked No. 1, and KU runners finish the Kansas Relays with personal and school records. We hope you'll enjoy these stories from Mount Oread. And if you're not a member of the Association, join by May 1 to get your copy of Kansas Alumni magazine's championship issue and commemorative poster.
Warmest wishes from the Hill,
KU Alumni Association

An undergraduate global information systems class took on the challenge. How many trees do you think provide shade for KU's beautiful campus? Click here to read about the results of their study. |

April 27, 1973: In the first of two stunts that would enter into campus legend, KU art student Dan Wessel, who preferred to be known as “The Great Wesselini” and similar monikers, attempts to fly his homemade glider over Memorial Stadium by rolling down a 32-foot ramp north of the Campanile.
