It's tournament time! Start spitting in rivers and changing your shoes at halftime. March Madness is officially here and, to prepare for KU celebrations across the country, we bring you this special edition of KU Connection. Your regularly scheduled KU Connection will arrive in your inbox next week and report the latest happenings on the Hill, including accomplishments by students, faculty and alumni.

Get ready to root for the crimson and blue! KU heads to Oklahoma City for the Big 12 Tournament, and KU Alumni Association staff will be there every step of the way with watch parties, pep rallies and postgame celebrations. 1,900 wins! KU passed the 1,900 mark this season against Texas. "Phog" Allen, who coached for 39 years and claimed 590 victories, has more wins than any other KU coach.

March 26, 1952: Under the leadership of legendary coach "Phog" Allen, KU men's basketball team wins its first NCAA national title.
