The weather’s not the only thing heating up: The Alumni Association is kicking off its summer activities. We’ll not only paint the state blue but also spread our wings nationally as well. Get in on the action, and join with other Jayhawks and the Association as we celebrate KU!
Mark your calendars now for events in your area.
At our Senior Sendoffs you and your future Jayhawk can meet with local alumni, current students and University representatives ready to share their experiences and send incoming freshmen off to KU armed with plenty of encouragement and opportunities to network on campus.

If your baby Jayhawk is ready to leave the nest and head to KU, let us know! Your family's KU legacy can be featured in "Jayhawk Generations," Kansas Alumni magazine's salute to true blue heritage. Association members should submit the necessary materials to us by June 30.
Everybody loves a picnic! At ours you’ll share summer feasts with other Jayhawks and hear the latest from KU Athletics. Mark Mangino and Bill Self headline our KC event June 20. Look for the Jayhawk caravan coming your way in June.
Warmest wishes from the Hill,
The Kansas Alumni Association

Wheat State Whirlwind Tour
|

“We went to Logan County, near the banks of the Smoky Hill
Saw the buffalo roam in their prairie home, I wish I was there still
There was another herd in that pasture, wild and full of fleas
They're hard to hold and can't be controlled, 'cause they all have advanced degrees”
So inspired by the Wheat State Whirlwind tour was Jim McCauley, Kansas Geological Survey associate scientist, that he altered the lyrics of "Miles and Miles of Texas" into an ode to Kansas’ long winding roads and the annual statewide trek by KU faculty. Read More.
