KU announces new nursing specialty tracks
Nurses who want to advance their careers will find
three new master's-level specialty tracks at the School
of Nursing. The school is now offering new programs
that will prepare nurses in healthcare informatics,
public health nursing and organizational leadership.

The healthcare informatics curriculum develops skills
in analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of
information systems that support a full range of clinical
and patient care functions. In addition to a foundation
in advanced nursing and information technology, special
skills will be acquired in organizational change, project
management and impact evaluation. Read

of patients during illness and recovery, the reduction
of risks for disease and disability and promotion of
healthy lifestyles. Read
