Glorious Mount Oread,
Sparkling in her snowy white winter robe
Reminds us of her beauty,
And dreams we shared in her brisk wintry winds.
--Anonymous
Winter scenes of Mount Oread conjure warm memories
for many alumni. In this issue of KU Connection, we share
a collage of old photos, ranging
from Old North College in the 1880s to snowboarding in 2002,
hoping you will become inspired and send
us favorite winter memories of your days on the Hill.
Also, please tell what
you miss most about KU or Lawrence . The Alumni Association
will gather your messages and share them with the Lawrence
Journal World, which plans to publish a story featuring selected
contributions. If your recollection is used as part of the
story, we will send you a signed, limited edition print of
artist Jim Hamil's winter scene, "Game
Night." We look forward to hearing from you.
Warmest wishes from the Hill
