Families celebrate fall at KU Open House

An estimated 22,500 visitors strolled Jayhawk Boulevard under sunny skies during the University's second annual Open House Oct. 5, a day for KU to share information and fun activities with the community. Academic programs from all KU campuses welcomed families with displays and prizes, and free food and music throughout the day made for a festive Saturday. Highlights included a display by ROTC units; strolling mascots, including theJayDoc; and a "Whack the Cat" pinata contest for children at the Adams Alumni Center.
