An estimated 22,500 visitors strolled Jayhawk Boulevard

Open House Oct. 5, a day for KU to share information

KU this fall drew its biggest enrollment gain in 16
years, attracting a banner crop of high-ability students
and posting a record increase in minority students and
the highest retention rate yet for returning freshmen.

First: Students score scholarships at Footbal Game
For
the second straight year, 25 KU students at a football
game were surprised with $1,000 scholarships. To qualify,
students at the game had to wear one of the 19,000 KU
First T-shirts given away on KU's four campuses.
