Brain imaging center to help lead life sciences studies in Kansas City

Construction of the Hoglund Brain Imaging Center at the KU Medical Center is progressing. The Center is being funded by a $4 million gift from Forrest Hoglund, e'56, chairman of KU First Steering Committee, and his wife, Sally Roney Hoglund, c'56, also a KU First Steering Committee member. The facility, expected to be completed and equipped by January 2003, will be one of only three centers in the United States capable of imaging the brain of a fetus in the womb and will support research in various brain-related diseases and injuries.
