KU comedy show reaches new heights

Cast of "Right Between the Ears" comedy series.

In its continuing quest to dominate global entertainment, "Right Between the Ears," the award-winning comedy series produced at Kansas Public Radio (formerly known as radio station KANU 91.5-FM), will be available this summer as part of Delta Air Lines' in-flight radio programming.

Memorable bits from recent shows, plus material recorded especially for Delta, will be included in the 45-minute episode. The show will be featured on Delta flights during July and August on one of eight channels devoted to information and entertainment programming. Delta Air Lines is the world's second-largest carrier in terms of passengers transported and is the leading U.S. airline across the Atlantic.

"Right Between the Ears" is a three-time winner of Gold Medals at the New York Festivals, for Best Comedy Program and Best Writing, as well as the festival's Grand Prize for Entertainment Programs in 1993 and numerous other awards.

Classic episodes from the series (then known as "The Imagination Workshop") also are airing weekly as part of the PRI Public Radio Channel on Sirius Satellite Radio. The service offers 100 channels of digital-quality radio to motorists throughout the United States.

Kansas Public Radio programming also is available on the Web at http://kanu.ku.edu. The "Right Between the Ears" Web site is http://www.rightbetweentheears.org.
