the University of Idaho and a professor of philosophy and
psychology

Snow Hall is dedicated, replacing the original Snow Hall that
had fallen into disrepair

June 11, 1873: Twenty-three
year old Flora Richardson delivers KU's first valedictory
address on her way to becoming the University's first female
graduate
June 13, 1895: Solomon
Miller, editor of the Kansas Chief and a longtime opponent
of KU blasts the University "assuming the airs of an
aristocratic dictator, independent of the people, above them,
aspiring to rule them"
June 15, 1991:
Lightning strikes Hoch Auditorium, causing a fire that
reduces the 64-year-old campus landmark to ruins in less than
four hours
