KU Places: Dole Institute

Sen. Robert Dole, Gov. Bill Graves and KU leaders broke ground Oct. 5 for the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics, which will stand west of the Lied Center on KU's West Campus. The institute, directed by noted presidential historian Richard Norton Smith, will open for Dole's 80th birthday in July 2003.
